The Fountains of the Two Seas (Fontane dei Due Mari) make up part of the National Monument to King Victor Emmanuel II, better known as Il Vittoriano.
Fountain of the Tyrrhenian Sea by Pietro Canonica
The sculptor Emilio Quadrelli (1863-1925) carved the statue personifying the Adriatic Sea, while Pietro Canonica (1869-1959) carved that of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The former statue sports the lion of Venice, the latter the wolf of Rome.
