Door of Good and Evil (1970-77) by Luciano Minguzzi

The Door of Good and Evil (La Porta del Bene e del Male), the work of Luciano Minguzzi (1911-2004), was inaugurated on September 26th 1977, on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Pope Paul VI (r. 1963-78).

​The Door of Good and Evil was the last of the five bronze doors in the portico to be installed. The bas-reliefs illustrate the spheres of Good and Evil.
