One of the Oldest Fountains in Rome
Piazza dell' Aracoeli
The fountain which stands in Piazza dell' Aracoeli is one of the oldest in Rome. It was commissioned in 1589 by Pope Sixtus V (r. 1585-90) and designed by Giacomo della Porta (1532-1602).
