The 18th century church of San Stanislao alle Botteghe Oscure, also known as San Stanislao dei Polacchi, is one of the two national churches of Poland. It is dedicated to St Stanislaus, martyr and patron of Poland.
The inscription on the facade reads: TEMPLVM · S · SALVATORIS · ET · S · STANISLAI · HOSPITII · NAT · POLONOR · MDLXXX. The first church on the site was dedicated to Christ the Saviour, hence the joint dedication.
