The Fontana di Piazza del Viminale (1931), which was created by the sculptor Publio Morbiducci (1889-1963), was unveiled by Benito Mussolini (r. 1922-43). 

The fountain is the centrepiece of the piazza in front of the Ministry of the Interior, which was designed by the architect Manfredo Manfredi (1859-1927).
