The Stadio dei Marmi (Stadium of Marbles) is a sports stadium in the Foro Italico (formerly the Foro Mussolini), which was designed by the architect Enrico Del Debbio and inaugurated in 1932. The Stadio dei Marmi is lined with 59 (originally 60) colossal statues, which portray a range of sporting disciplines. Each statue was the gift of one of the provinces of Italy. Comments are closed.
