The Chiesa del Dio Padre Misericordioso (Church of God the Merciful Father), better known as the Chiesa del Giubileo (Jubilee Church), was designed by the American architect Richard Meier and built between 1996 and 2003. The modernist church, which is situated in the district of Tor Tre Teste, was commissioned by Pope John Paul II (r. 1978-205) for the Millennium Jubilee. The three striking concrete shells symbolise the Holy Trinity. Comments are closed.
