The frescoes in the Sala dei Fasti Farnesiani (Hall of Farnese Glories), in Palazzo Farnese, were begun by Francesco Salviati (1510-63) and completed after his death by Taddeo Zuccari (1529-66). The frescoes celebrate the achievements of the Farnese family, including the election on October 13th, 1534, of Cardinal Alessandro Farnese as Pope Paul III (r. 1534-49). Comments are closed.
