July 3rd is the feast day of St Thomas the Apostle, popularly known as 'doubting Thomas'.
One of the saint's attributes is a set-square, which he holds in the colossal statue by the French sculptor Pierre Le Gros the Younger (1666-1719), in the church of San Giovanni in Laterano. St Thomas is the patron saint of builders and architects. Comments are closed.
