June 29th is the Feast of St Peter & St Paul and, for this day alone, the medieval bronze statue of St Peter (in St Peter's Basilica) is dressed up to mark the occasion.
As St Peter is held by the Catholic Church to have been the first pope, the statue also sports a tiara or triple crown. Comments are closed.
