The church of Santa Maria ai Monti (also known as the Madonna dei Monti) was commissioned by Pope Gregory XIII (r. 1572-1585) and designed by the architect and sculptor Giacomo della Porta (1532-1603). Its façade recalls that of the Chiesa del Gesù. Comments are closed.
