November 15th is the feast day of St Malo (c. 520-621), one of the seven founding saints of Brittany. Rome's San Macuto is the only church in Italy dedicated to St Malo (Latin: Maclovius or Machutus). It was built between 1577 and 1579, possibly by the architect Francesco Cipriani da Volterra (1535-95). Comments are closed.
