The Parco Archeologico del Celio, a small archaeological park, has just opened close to the Colosseum. The park is home to a motley collection of ancient archaeological artefacts, including fragments of numerous ancient columns. As I wandered through the park, I pondered the phrase, Sic Transit Gloria Mundi. The park is also home to a new museum, the Museo della Forma Urbis, which houses what little is left of the famous monumental marble map of ancient Rome. Comments are closed.
