Hidden away at the back of Santa Maria sopra Minerva is a large stained glass window depicting the Dominican monk and Renaissance painter Fra Angelico (c.1395-1455), who died in Rome and is buried in the church.
Guido di Pietro, to give the artist his proper name, was beatified by Pope John Paul II (r. 1978-2005) on October 3rd 1982. Comments are closed.
