The bronze statue of Pope Innocent X (r. 1644-55), the work of the sculptor Alessandro Algardi (1598-1654), is in the Musei Capitolini (Capitoline Museums).
The Palazzo Nuovo, which forms part of the Musei Capitolini, was built at the behest of Innocent X.
Innocent X died on January 7th 1655. He is interred in the church of Sant' Agnese di Agone.
