On November 30th 1642, the artist and architect Andrea Pozzo was born in Trento, a city in the north of Italy. 

As a painter Pozzo was a master of perspective and each day hundreds of people visit the Jesuit church of Sant' Ignazio di Loyola to see his spectacular ceiling painting of The Apotheosis of St Ignatius  (1691-94). 

Andrea Pozzo died in Vienna on August 31st 1709.
