One of Rome's most recent fountains (2004) takes the form of a large bronze sculpture (21 metres high), which stands in the centre of a plain, round basin filled to the brim with water. The sculpture is known as 'Novecento' ('1900s') and is the work of Arnaldo Pomodoro (1926-).
