Via di San Marcello
Above the entrance to a building in Via di San Marcello, in the centre of Rome, is a Latin inscription which expresses a rather heart-warming sentiment: LAETE INEUNTIBUS LAETOR (If one enters the house happy, it makes the owner even happier).
My name is David Lown and I am an art historian from Cambridge, England. Since 2001 I have lived in Italy, where I run private walking tours of Rome.
