On July 20th 1903, Pope Leo XIII died at the age of 93.
Leo XIII (r. 1878-1903) is one of only three popes to have reigned for 25 years or more; the other two are Pius IX (r. 1846-1878) and John Paul II (r. 1978-2005).
At his death, Leo XIII became the oldest pope in history.
