December 7th is the Feast Day of St Ambrose (c. 340-397), one of the four Latin Fathers of the Church. St Ambrose is the patron saint of Milan and of Beekeepers. A statue of St Ambrose, the work of the sculptor Arturo Dazzi (1881-1966), stands at the rear of the church of Santi Ambrogio e Carlo al Corso. Comments are closed.
