Via Niccolò Piccolomini
One of the most spectacular views of the dome of St Peter's Basilica can be enjoyed from Via Niccolò Piccolomini, a short street near Villa Doria Pamphilj.
The view of the dome from this particular street also has a curious twist to it. If you start at the far end of Via Niccolò Piccolomini and walk towards the basilica, the dome will actually appear to get smaller rather than bigger!
