Piazzale Ugo la Malfa
The monument to Giuseppe Mazzini (1805-72), one of the leading activists for the unification of Italy, was unveiled on June 2nd, 1949, the centenary year of the short-lived Roman Republic.
The monument was conceived and realised (mostly) by the sculptor Ettore Ferrari (1845-1929).
